Deer Valley Area of Park City

Deer Valley is an exclusive section of Park City. The independent Deer Valley Resort offers superior skiing, food and dining options and a boutique feeling that many find unique among the three resorts in town. Lodging options are also premium, and guests can choose from three well known territories of Deer Valley. Lower Deer Valley which offers easy access to historic downtown Park City, Mid Mountain Deer Valley otherwise known as Silver Lake Village, or Upper Deer Valley which may include Deer Crest, Empire Pass and more. The mid-level and upper Deer Valley territories most often offer ski in/ski out lodging options. Deer Valley is fabulous in both winter and summer, and the Snow Park Base lodge area offers an array of activity from mountain biking, horseback riding, to summer concerts weekly and more! Ski school is also hosted from this lower Deer Valley base area. Guests who stay in Deer Valley tend to return year after year and become loyal patrons of this area of Park City. Park City Historic Center of Town

Downtown historic Park City, often referred to as Old Town, offers a myriad of athletic activities such as skiing, biking, hiking, group sports at the parks and fields and so much more. Historic Main St offers both shopping, dining and nightlife, as well as historic tours of buildings and facilities once used to house the old silver mining population who founded the community. Todays lodging options include condos and homes that offer walking distance to the Resort or to the Town Ski Lift, as well as ski in ski out options that create duality of having immediate access to the slopes and walkability to downtown nightlife. There is a lot of variety in the downtown area as to lodging options and activities for the whole family. The greater Park City Mountain Resort area lies in the center of downtown Park City, with the connection and ability to ski over to the Canyons ski resort side, all now connected by the merger of the two locations and acquisition by Vail Resorts. Drive to Town-Park City Perimeter

The peripheral areas on the outskirts of town offer spectacular lodging options, luxury finishes and spacious floor plans, which is often times ideal for families who would prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle and have top of the line lodging options. Families love our Black Rock Ridge and Retreat Jordanelle locations. These new townhome locations offer a more peaceful setting, with new construction townhomes. The location is generally a 5-minute drive to the first traffic light downtown and is very convenient to historic Park City, Sundance Film locations, and all three resorts by car. We find these options to be ideal for families who like to explore all Park City has to offer, but with increased space and privacy.
